Ways to work together

Not every engagement should start with an assessment. If the plan already exists and the constraint is capacity, say so — we can skip straight to the work.

01

Readiness Assessment

“We have ideas, but we don’t know which are real.”

A defined engagement that ends in a decision you own — scored use cases, an honest read on whether your data can carry them, and a sequenced roadmap. If the answer is that you should not proceed, that is a successful outcome.

Fixed fee · 2–3 weeks

  • Best when the direction is genuinely undecided
  • Ends with a readout, not a proposal
  • Credited against follow-on work within 90 days
02

Defined Project

“We know what we need built. We need someone to build it.”

Scoped, priced, and delivered against agreed milestones — a governance framework, a data foundations rebuild, a production AI system, a documentation pipeline. You know the cost before it starts and what changes if the scope moves.

Fixed fee, per milestone

  • Discovery and architecture, then build milestones, then handover
  • Fixed price per milestone rather than one lump sum
  • Enablement built in, so your team owns it afterwards
03

Contract & Embedded

“The project is already underway and we are short senior capacity.”

I join an in-flight team as senior capacity — in your standups, your repos, your review process. No discovery phase, no assessment you did not ask for. Useful when the plan exists and the constraint is hands, or when a specialist gap has stalled a workstream.

Weekly or monthly · 3-month minimum

  • Typically 2–4 days per week, agreed in advance
  • Works alongside your engineers rather than in parallel to them
  • Available through your own vendor or staffing arrangement if that is simpler
  • Open to subcontract work with agencies and consultancies
04

Fractional Leadership

“We need someone accountable for AI, not another advisor.”

A named owner for the recurring decisions: which initiatives proceed, which vendors are selected, whether a system is ready to launch, and whether the governance posture would survive a customer’s due diligence.

Monthly retainer · 3–6 month minimum

  • One to three days per month
  • Standing presence in the relevant leadership forum
  • Escalation path for architecture and go/no-go calls
